MEDAL, 6th World Swimming Championships, Perth

Round bronze medal commemorating the 6th World Swimming Championships held in Perth in January of 1991. Side 1: Polished bronze border reads `6th WORLD SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIPS/PERTH 1991' Centre has Championships Logo and `FINA' the acronym for Federation Internationale Dentation Amateur. Side2: Polished bronze border engraved with concentric circles with swimming forms. Centre `FINA/ Federation Internationale/Dentation Amateur/ Impression of two globes of the earth/ Founded in 1908' Medal came to us via the Battye Library who received it and other documentation relating to the championships. Medal is contained in a dark blue velveteen drawstring pouch with the FINA logo in gold on one side.
