MUSTARD POT

"Old English cut glass silver mounted Mustard Pot and salt cellar. London mark 1808 A.D." Pot without lid (a) appears too large for a salt cellar and matches the mustard pot (b) almost exactly. Both are decorated with three rows of plain diamonds at the top, fluted sides, foot decorated on underside with radiating blazes. Tops have silver bands. (b) Has a silver lid, with knob, and hole in one side for a spoon. Both hallmarked: king's head, lion passant and 'N' = London, 1808-09. Ann Roberts: A Pair of cut glass Tumblers each with slightly flared bowl cut with diamonds above pillar flutes, the star cut foot reduced, silver mounted rim (one with domed and knopped silver cover and each with silver spoon), Georgian.
