Bowl with cover with holes for flowers. Bowl has four white feet and t side handles (knob shape). Deep blue transfer pattern. Rural scene with man on horse herding cattle before house on one side & boy riding cow, herding cows a sheep before house on other. Scene repeated on lid. Floral edge. Mark printed under-glaze blue on base: "BRITISH SCENERY \ BOOTHS \ (crown) \ SILICON CHINA ENGLAND". Nairn no. 59. Booths Ltd, Tunnstall. 1891 - 1948. Mark for c. 1906. Ref.
