Carbet Castle was built under Special Survey by Mounsey & Foster, being launched at Sunderland in July 1875. It had two decks, one bulkhead, a poop 15.9 m long and a forecastle with a length of 9.1 m. In 1897 the owner was J. Moralee (Jr).
