Critically endangered, thought to be extinct for over 100 years but re-discovered in Two-Peoples Bay Nature Reserve near Albany, WA in 1994. Specialist fungivore, fungi makes up over 90% of their diet. A captive breeding population of Gilbert’s Potoroo is located at Two People’s bay and animals have been translocated to other reserves nearby.
