Lived Upper Swan for 23 years. Producing 5 daughters and 3 sons. Later bought land in Chittering. The 60 square metre wooden floor of their barn provided an excellent dance floor for all locals - accompanied with an acordian player. Buried at All Saints Upper Swan.

  • Hi I'm the 3 X Great Grandson of Henry and Sarah through their daughter Jane (who by then was at Enderslea Farm, Chittering) who married Thomas James Ferguson (of Toodyay) and in turn their daughter Hannah married my Great Grandfather John Fawell, son of my 2 x Great grandfather William Fawell who arrived in the Colony on the Merope 28th April 1849. William was in the Upper Swan and was a general storekeeper, farmer and first postmaster and teacher in Upper Swan having also been paid nine pounds a year to teach nine students in the front room of the post office. Reference to him can be found in the Battye Library.
