Upon arrival in Albany aboard the sailing ship 'England's Queen', William Morgan (First Mate) and several other crew refused to sail on, declaring the ship unseaworthy. They were jailed for 12 weeks as mutineers. On his release, William was appointed Assistant Pilot to the Port of Albany.

  • In fact William died on 27 April 1857 (according to official extract of death register). Unable to upload a file - error message claims a file of less than 200KB would exceed the 500 MB quota.
