Rev. Mitchell, his wife and three children were sent by the Missionary Society. (Accompanied by Miss Anne Breeze, who helped establish Middle Swan School.) Est. 1839 Church Guilford - 1840 St. Mary's Church, Middle Swan - 1841 All Saints Church, Upper Swan - 1842 produced monthly church magazine.
Three additional children were born in WA - 1841, Francis Tree, 1843 Charlotte, 1846 Andrew Forster.
