Western Australian Museum – Perth Collections
This collection of images is a comprehensive record of objects and specimens that have been removed from the Western Australian Museum – Perth to the Collections and Research Centre (CRC) in Welshpool since December 2015. This decant has taken place to enable works to begin on the New Museum for Western Australia.
The images in this collection are of objects and specimens from various galleries, including the WA Land and People Gallery, the Butterfly Gallery, the Bird Gallery, Diamonds to Dinosaurs, Katta Djinoong, and the Mammal Gallery. After the specimens were cleaned, tested, and photographed, they were boxed up safely for transport and storage at the CRC, where they will remain until they are needed again for New Museum or other exhibition and study purposes.
