MEASURING GLASS

Measuring glass, with measurements marked on with red paint, called 'The improved Household Measure'. Has marked on it: '1/4 lb measurement for Bread crumbs, Flour, Tapioca, Ground Rice, Sugar and Rice; 1-8oz measurements; 1 cup, 8 fl. ozs; 1 gill, 1/2 gill; and also has marked how to tell if an egg is old by placing it in a glass of water and seeing how well it floats (diagrams are on sides of measuring glass). Has '113 X' impressed on base. Probably c. 1950's.
