BOW, Japanese
W1970.763
A very long japanese bow made from a piece of wood between two of bamboo, both of which have their bark outwards. The bow is wound with a coil of cane which has been repaired with cotton thread and a leather strip. It is inscribed with Japanese characters on the back of the bow. It is said to have been collected in New Guinea during WWII.
