Blade; slightly curved, lower 30cm double edged, upper 57cm has broad groove, single edged. Decoration on one face; horse to am with field gun[?]. Other face "Mit Gott fur Kaiser und Reich".
Hilt; steel quillion [cross guard]with No. 83 A5 engraved, plain steel knuckle bow, steel pommel and back to grip.
Grip; shark skin bound with braided wire.
Scabbard; plain steel, painted black.
