Buttsocket (RHS): 'CROWN/ VR/ LSACo/1893/II.' Breech: No. 249. The numerals '309' stamped on handguard and in front of magazine. Butt (LHS): 'WTS'. Buttplate (top): '?/ DM/ 602'. Proof marks: CROWN/ VR/ CROSSED PENNANTS/ 2? P. Accessories: nil. Sights: Fore - barley corn; rear - folding leaf/ Long range volley sights. Calibre: .303. Charge/projectile: CN/cordite; centre fire cartridge. Ignition: centre fire/percussion?. Action: bolt/repeater. Barrel shape: round.
