Belonged to Mr Frank Bateman Wilson. F.B. Wilson born Adelaide South Australia 5th June 1883, died - lost at sea, Rottnest Island Feb 1906, nephew of John Bateman. F.B. Wilson served as master on the tug S.S. Venus owned by the Bateman's and based at Fremantle for some years prior to 1906. In Feb 1906 the Venus helped in a rescue operation in stormy seas off Rottnest. Wilson was lost overboard in Thompson's Bay after the rescue. See West Australian Feb 1906.
