For cases where soft tissues have become distorted by either acute or chronic trauma or infection they may be assisted in their return to normal by the use of Visco-gel. At the same time the patient is not embarrassed by being without dentition. Visco- gel is also indicated as a lining for dentures inserted immediately following extractions, or oral surgery. Semi-Permanent Soft Liner. When normal dentures are not tolerated, particularly with aged patients, Visco-gel can be used a soft-liner for a period of several months before needing replacement. Functional Impression Material. In post-operative cases or when ill fitting dentures require replacement or re-basing, the material may be used to obtain a functional impression giving adequate detail and maximum coverage.'
