FABRIC WILDFLOWER SPECIMEN, selection of 5 Spider Orchids, Thelma Knox

Handcrafted botanically specific fabric wildflowers made of composite materials including white organza, crepe paper, vilene, hobby wire, florist's ribbon, florist wire, cotton wool, florist's tape, PVA glue and fabric dyes. This specimen depicts five types of Spider Orchids including: Caladenia arenicola - Carousel Spider Orchid (red and green), Caladenia ensata - Stumpy Spider Orchid (clubbed petals), Caladenia filifera - Blood Spider Orchid (red), Caladenia huegelii - Grand Spider Orchid (long fringe) and Caladenia pectinata - King Spider Orchid (green). The specimens are mounted in a large piece of natural timber.
