LETCHFORD'S BOTTLE
H1989.337
Stoneware ginger beer bottle. This is a dump type bottle in an off white colour, with wide thick top and still contains the cork which was used as a stopper. The bottle has 'BENDIGOP/ EPSON/ BENDIGO' inside an oval shape impressed in the side of the bottle. In large blue letters on the side is 'W. LETCHFORD/ FREMANTLE'. This was probably applied by an inked rubber stamp before the second glazing and firing.
