PALETTE with Hollows, Ceramic

White ceramic palette in two parts, a ceramic base with a tin covering lid.1]The ceramic base has twenty one circular hollows for mixing paint and one long hollow for brushes. 2]Reverse side,imprint of the hollows and black elliptical printed trademark. 'WINSOR & NEWTON. LIMITED/ MADE IN ENGLAND', printed around edge, image of lion in centre with 'TRADE MARK' printed in below, both in black. Cream coloured tin lid has cut edges pressed together to make corners and displays evidence of some crazing and is partially coverd in smattering of different coloured paint. A grey material has been insterted in one or two places near the outer edge in an attempt to repair? chipped paint.
