DRESS, cream silk
H1999.329
Cream silk short sleeved dress. Mid-waist, with slighly gathered skirt. Thick strip of cream lace with cream flowers embroidered down centre of lace attached diagonally around lower section of skirt. Cream fringing hangs down from lace. Dress has roundneck, with fabric at neckline gathered. Fabric below neckline is crossed, to give impression of v-neck. One side of chest has cream lace with fringing, other side is plain. Sleeves have three rows of fabric, followed by lace. Back of dress has metal hooks and eyes from neckline to half way down skirt. Back of waist has a single silk rosette in centre. Dress is lined with cream silk. Centre of chest and part of hook and eye section at back is boned.
