Rectangular brown, cardboard box, where lid covers whole body of box when on. Box and lid held together by metal staples. Top of lid has a paper label which is brown, orange and white in colour. In top left corner of label drawn in a square, is a silhouette of a centurion holding a trident with 'BUY BRITISH' printed below him in white. Main part of label says 'Shaw's [white] / SIX WHEEL/ GLASS-CUTTER [orange]'. To left is a large picture of the glass-cutter in an orange and white circle. In an orange strip below, it says 'MADE IN ENGLAND.' To its right in a white square gives the history of manufacturer. At bottom of label is written address and name of manufacturers. Written in blue pen and pencil are the words 'Rivet Pliers' twice on the label. The front and back edge of lid has a semi-circular cut at its edge in the middle.
