Chess set in box. Label on top of box typed, and says: 'THESE CHESSMEN ARE HAND TURNED/ FROM/ WEST AUSTRALIAN WOODS/ JARRAH & SANDALWOOD'. Full chess set of thirty two pieces; jarrah painted black; sandalwood unpainted. Green felt on base of each piece. Box made of stained pine, with sliding top. Sections of box are joined by nails.
