"Novelty \ British Apr'l 14-180(?)" and "Patd. April 13.1880". Base this bill, invoice, or paper holder has spring, also appears to have been able either to be screwed to the wall or hung on a wall hook. A thick sharp pin stands out of base and is covered and uncovered by a small cone attached to a spring lever.
