DRESS, Evening c.1920's

CH1976.289

Pink silk (?), shift-style, sleeveless frock. Mauve binding around neckline and armholes. Mauve fringe at hem. Section of smocking on front and skirt. Two purple bows on fringe at back. Round beaded section at neckline on front is not 1920's but probably added when the dress was used as theatre costume. Petticoat, mauve with pink straps, probably added later.
