"BRYANT & MAY'S \ "BRYMAY" \ SPECIAL SAFETY MATCH". On both sides. "6716" handwritten on one side of box. Cardboard inside. The handwritten number, in Glauert's handwriting, refers to a register entry in the Fossil Catalogue. The matchboxes were all used as storage containers for the fossil collection since the 1930's.
