Slightly scalloped edge. Medium blue and white transfer pattern. Willo pattern in centre of bowl. Impressed mark on base: " 28 (?) \ (in half moon shape) DAVENPORT \ (anchor) with numbers 5 & 2 on either side of points." Nair no. 86. W. Davenport & Co, Longport. Mark used up to ca 1860. Last 2 numerals the year sometimes placed either side of the anchor as here. Ref. Godden, Encyclopaedia, (1964) page 189, no. 1181a.
