Sculptured by subjects wife Mrs Doris Harms. Dr Wilfred Harms (died Aug 1981). Graduated in Arts, University of W.A. and then enrolled as dental student in University of Melbourne. Obtained degree of Doctor of Dental Science from that University for research in dental materials. He served the dental profession of W.A. in many capacities, not least in working towards the establishment of a Faculty of Dental Science in the University of W.A. Dr Harms had a long and distinguished career in the dental profession in W.A. (See file for full statement; typed, entitled TRIBUTE TO DR W.A. HARMS". Sent to Conservation Lab for framing; copy on file.
