A Cornice plane, a large moulding plane with Grecian ogee profile, with cutter made in two pieces. See Salaman p. 323-4 and 341.

'A. MATHIESON & SON/ (cresent moon and star mark) / GLASGOW & EDINBURGH' and on other end 'No. 99' and '3/4'. Also 'J. LYNAS' crudely scratched.
