T1980.23.a-d

Four electric light switches. (a) Fluted brass on porcelain base. Similar to T80.22a-f, but round base switch and different method of making and breading contact with electric current. Part of the contact point is missing. On base "1778N". (b-d) are similar style switches - but are each made by different companies. (b & e) have brass casing (d) has bakelite casing. (b) on base "MYCROMET \ 7183 \ VIT \ BRITISH MAKE" with a circular trade mark incorporating "ENGLAND" and unreadable letters or numbers. (c) "BRITISH MADE \ VITREOUS \ 127-11" and a trade mark with possible "V.S.M." in centre of triangle. (d) "SLICK \ MADE IN ENGLAND \ B \ VITREOUS". Inside switch on porcelain is the General Electric Company trade mark. (see T80.21)
