Metal plate on engine: "KYNOCH LIMITED \ KYNOCH FORWARD ENGINE \ BIRMINGHAM". Metal plate on top: "SOLE AGENTS FOR AUSTRALASIA \ THE IMPERIAL PRINTERS' FURNISHING CO. \ SYDNEY BRISBANE & MELBOURNE." It is a gas engine which has been converted to petrol, and is believed to have been used to supply power in a Fremantle cabinet maker's shop.
