MEASUREGRAPH, 'THE AKKURATE MEASUREGRAPH' in original box

[.1] Buff coloured, cardboard base of oblong box (lid missing) containing two pieces of interlocking corrugated cardboard. Box has remnants of wide cellotape adhering to the base. [.2] Cream, illustrated pamphlet providing instructions for assembly and use of 'THE AKKURATE MEASUREGRAPH'. Diagrams are provided and an picture of a man fitted with the device. [.3] Stainless steel scale construced from three parallel planes, the central one is marked up to 30 inches. The top of the scale has an adjustable hook to attach to the collar of the man being measured. A bridge is fixed just below the 7 inch marker, to attach the shoulder bands. Another bridge is attached at the 15 inch marker for the chest band. Below this, a sliding bridge enables measurements to be made at waist level. The bottom of the scale has a retractable tape measure attached to it enable measurements to be taken beyond the 30 inches. [.4] Stainless steel, sliding shoulder measuring device with four raised, forked extensions on one end and a metal plate and screw attachment on the other.[.5] Mirror image of .4 [.6] Stainless steel, chest measuring devise with rigid plate and screw attachment one end and a sliding, shaped metal disc to which a linen, buff coloured tape measure, marked from 1 to 26 inches in black is permanently attached [.7] Mirror image of .6. [.8] Stainless steel measuring device with centrally welded oblong plate, to which is attached a moveable screw. On one end is attached a linen, buff coloured tape measure marked in black print from 15 to 60 inches. At the 34 inch mark, a hand sewn elastic tape is attached with a metal buckle. [.9] A length of elastic which is an adaptation made by the owner.
