Small maker’s mark to left of ‘RANK/STRAND’: man’s body in profile, holding long mallet, striking large, circular gong, surrounded by oblong border. ‘RANK/STRAND’ also bordered. Front cover has few dirty marks/ scratches in vinyl covering, outer corners are slightly bent over. Spine: white, capital block font reads ‘RANK/ STRAND MMS OPERATORS HANDBOOK’, from bottom edge upwards. Back cover: no marks, some slight scratches to vinyl covering, two ring binder secures in centre of cover, near spine. Inside: top ring binder off balance, will not fully close. First page has handwritten ‘PERTH ENTERTAINMENT CENTRE’ written in black pen across top of page, torn loose from binding, other pages intact. Manual contains contents page, ‘a-z’ section dividers and diagrams of MMS system. Pages yellowed with age, corners slightly damaged.
[2] Identical in design to [1]. Slightly dirty and scratched vinyl cover, inside cover indented from ring binders. Spine: Vinyl covering coming away from spine at lower edge. Inside: ring binders almost close, teeth do not line up (top binder worse than lower). Front pages torn around binder holes, though still intact. First page has handwritten ‘PERTH ENTERTAINMENT CENTRE’ written in black pen across top of page. Pages dirty and yellowed with age, corners and dividers slightly damaged and bent.

Front cover has large patches of dark/dirty marks all over, some transferred print over text in lower right corner. Spine: white, capital block font reads ‘RANK/ STRAND MMS MAINTENANCE HANDBOOK’, from bottom edge upwards. Vinyl covering lifting from lower edge, where spine meets back cover. Back cover: print transfer across centre of cover, strip of residue along side and bottom edges. Inside cover scratched and indented near spine, from ring binders. Ring binders closed, with silver coloured metal secure to hold pages down. Inside cover page has handwritten note in pencil ‘GC/ Please return/ to Gary Chifton’ in top left corner. Top centre of page has handwritten in capitals, black ink, ‘PERTH ENTERTAINMENT/ CENTRE’. Manual contains ‘A-P’ dividers, pages yellowed from age, some loose, corners and edges damaged.
