COAL BASKET
H2010.3
Large wicker coal basket with thick jute? rope handle attached to rings on opposite external sides of basket. Metal chain attached to those rings loops under the basket. Four metal pins secure the chain and rings, 2 pins on each side of basket. Rope has eye shaped loops at each end which are supported by metal inserts where the rope is linked to the metal rings on the side of the basket. Top and bottom edges of basket secured by woven wire. Coal at bottom of basket (prop?). Black painted? marks on one outer side of basket nearer to top section.
