FISHING REEL

H1997.157

Wooden fishing reel with brass rod bracket. Consists of two wooden disks (one with remnant varnish) with narrow joining section around which green textile fishing line is wound. One of the disks has a pair of knobs which would be used to wind up the line. The knobs are apparently made of a polymer such as hard rubber, set onto a brass core. The brass rod bracket is attached to the other disk, and is elongated with a concave surface.
