PATCHWORK RUG

H1995.5

Rug made from woolen patches and thin panels of medium brown wool. Rectangular blanket has hemmed edges, and patches fashioned with a varied form of cross-stitch, indicating that many hands worked on the rug. Odd patches are stitched in brown and grey wool and cotton, but for the most part the rug is sewn with cream cotton.
