White cotton petticoat - young adolescent - with drawstring at back fo bustle. Signs of alterations at a later stage, perhaps as bustles became smaller and finally disappeared at the end of the 1880's; flounced; cotton covered metal button on side at waist; hem scalloped. Very finally darned. Marked "M.E.S. Lefroy" in black ink. Machine sewn.
