BADGE, collar "AIF World War I"

Collar badge AIF (as for W83.34). Features a crown surrounded by rays of the rising sun. Beneath both are scrolls bearing the inscription: "AUSTRALIAN COMMONWEALTH MILITARY FORCES". The badge was worn on the collar o the khaki service uniform. It was attached to the uniform via a brass pin whic passed through two copper rings welded to the back of the badge. Also on the back is the manufacturer's mark in raised relief lettering: "TIPTAFT ?BINAM".
