SHOE SOLE (Remnants)
CH1975.340
W.A.M. gardener Wally Richard found the item buried beneath a gum tree in the courtyard of the Old Gaol. The heel has almost disappeared and there is a hole in the 'ball' of the sole. Copper nails still hold the layers of leather in place. Toe is styled, suggesting it was a walking shoe, rather than a work boot. Size: about 5-6.
