Community collection items in the Afghanistan Community Exhibition

Join us to celebrate the vibrant culture of both ancient and contemporary Afghanistan!  We are having an Afghan cultural day with food, music, crafts and activities that show the rich cultural traditions of Afghanistan.

Half price tickets available for Saturday 20 September to the stunning Afghanistan: Hidden Treasures from the National Museum, Kabul exhibition.

Sample a traditional afternoon tea with fragrant spiced teas and sweet cakes and candied fruit; there will be demonstrations of handicrafts such as embroidery, doll-making, kite-making and other craft displays;  a world of exotic Afghan influenced music; traditional games for children to play; talks on the cultural traditions of Afghanistan and more.
