Tuesday Video Curatorials 12:00pm Museum of the Great Southern We are very happy to have Tuesday Curatorials recommence each Tuesday in a new format. There will be two video curatorial sessions that will be run at 10:30am and then repeated at 2:30pm. Until the end of June, Malcolm Traill will introduce the sessions and be available for questions afterwards. These sessions are limited to 25 people at each, and you will need to book by calling the Museum of the Great Southern’s Reception on 9841 4844. Entry will be a gold coin donation, and no refreshments will be available. Looking forward to seeing you there. June 30 - Myths of Albany Exploring some of the myths, legends and ghost stories that have grown up around Albany over the last 200 years. July 7 - The Chinese in Albany The influence of Chinese immigrants in Albany and Western Australia since the first recorded arrival of a Chinese man in Sydney in 1818. July 14 - Albany in the 1920s A dark decade for Albany as shipping arrivals slowed but some new industries were established and those who returned from the Great War were commemorated. July 28 - A Colonial Rivalry Understanding some of the facts behind the rivalry that developed between Albany and Perth over harbours, railways and personalities. Credit: WA Museum
