WA Museum Boola Bardip's education programming is tailored for students from Kindergarten to year 12, with clear links to the Australian and Western Australian curriculum through a strong emphasis on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Histories and Cultures, STEM and Sustainability and Creativity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
Students dive into complex issues that inspire context for real-world learning. Our team creates opportunities for exchange and collaboration — inviting inquiry, investigation and analysis.
With programs held inside exhibitions or our purpose-built Woodside Learning Studios, the Museum is the ideal atmosphere for students to create connections between world-class research and their developing knowledge of the world.

Professional learning programs
Like our learning programs for students, our Professional Learning program for educators has a strong emphasis on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Histories and Cultures, STEM and Sustainability and Creativity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Our goal is to provide opportunities for educators to engage with new technologies and methodologies to support your practice.
Self-guided experiences
The Museum provides free self-guided experiences, with access to bespoke resources that lead students on a journey of discovery through the Museum.
Places are available Monday to Friday. Bookings are essential.

We are delighted to share the education programs on offer at Boola Bardip during the 2024 school year.
In 2024, we are expanding our already comprehensive facilitated suite of programs to
include ‘Then and Now’ to look at how and why things change over time. We are also expanding the ‘First Contacts’ virtual offering, with pre-and-post activities available for teachers to download and use in class, plus a new professional learning program focused on Exploring Two-way Science.
