We are so proud to announce that the WA Museum Boola Bardip has won the gold awards for both Major Tourist Attraction and Cultural Tourism at the Perth Airport WA Tourism Awards over the weekend. The Awards recognise businesses, individuals, and destinations, for their commitment to excellence in the WA Tourism sector.

Congratulations to all our team members for their extraordinary hard work, dedication, and superb customer care. We are proud to be the tourism gateway to Western Australia’s many stories, and the home of WA's history.

Boola Bardip, means ‘many stories’ in local Nyoongar language. Our museum offers visitors a dynamic and contemporary experience, shaped by a 'people first' approach and expressed through the authentic voices of Western Australians sharing their stories.

In 2022-23, we were proud to welcome over 455,000 visitors, of which more than 185,00 came from interstate or overseas. Over 1.5 million people have visited since the Museum’s opening in November 2020.

We want to express our gratitude to the Tourism Council WA, Perth Airport, and the esteemed Awards judges for this recognition of our continued commitment to excellence and innovation.

Congratulations also to all fellow award finalists and victors who have played a pivotal role in enhancing our state's flourishing tourism industry!
