Staff who attended the WA Tourism Awards 2024

WA Museum Boola Bardip has taken out the gold award as Major Tourist Attraction for the second year in a row at the Perth Airport WA Tourism Awards.

In addition to receiving this outstanding accolade, the museum also won silver in the Cultural Tourism category.

Since opening its doors in November 2020, the WA Museum Boola Bardip has strived to provide exceptional visitor experiences.

Following on from the Museum’s success in 2023, the WA Museum Boola Bardip welcomed nearly 400,000 visitors in 2024, including some 120,000 visitors from interstate and overseas, delivering nearly $50 million in economic impact for the State and a 96 per cent satisfaction rating amongst visitors.

The Museum has also enhanced its offering to international visitors with a range of translated materials in multiple languages including Mandarin, German, Spanish, French and Hindi.

WA Museum CEO Alec Coles said, “these awards recognise the outstanding work of our team.”

Boola Bardip is an exceptional facility, but the visitor experience is significantly enhanced through the commitment of our exceptional team of staff and volunteers, and the creative producers with which we work.”

The WA Museum congratulates all other finalists and award winners of the 2024 WA Tourism Awards. It is a privilege for the Museum to be recognised amongst the family of such dedicated tourism businesses that work tirelessly to deliver the best tourism experience for WA visitors.

Winners from the WA Tourism Awards automatically go into the National Tourism Awards for their category.
