Black-headed Skimmer

Crocothemis nigrifrons

Medium-sized blue dragonfly with black head and thorax, otherwise similar to Orthetrum caledonicum.

Wide range of still and sluggish waters. Only found as far south as the Murchison River in Western Australia.
