Fashion details:
Loosely themed medieval with a focus on rich, jewel colours as would be used in the years before white became the new tradition. The gentlemen wore Morning Suits with cravats and the ladies wore custom made gowns of crushed velvet with drop sleeves. The ladies also wore customer made brass ivy leaf scroll work pendants, earrings, hair vines, with a torc and circlet featuring garnets for the bride.

The wedding story:
Both of us are fairly relaxed and easy going when it comes to life in general and we wanted this to flow through into our wedding day.

We organised the ceremony and buffet at the Nedlands foreshore for a late afternoon and were graced with great weather and a lovely pink sunset for the late June date.

Having a penchant for dark, rich colours this was the theme throughout; black, gold and red which let us stand out against the pale sky and lend an opulent feel.

Being a public space, mid ceremony we found ourselves gatecrashed by a friendly dog who dropped a ball at our feet wanting to play catch. Not missing a beat, our celebrant obliged the dogs request and continued on amidst laughter and giggles from the guests and ourselves. We had a few other guests in the shape of magpies and a pod of dolphins which added to the wonderful day we shared.
