When the bride became engaged she travelled home to Glasgow, Scotland to visit family. Her mother bought her a wedding dress because she could not make the journey to Australia for the wedding.

The wedding story:
Euphemia and Ian met at Hollywood Repatriation Hospital in Nedlands where Euphemia worked as a nurse. The pair were introduced by a mutual friend. They were married at St Andrews Church in Perth and enjoyed a family reception at the Charles Hotel.
