WA Museum Records and Supplements | Updated 1 decade ago

Abstract: Phillipsastrea delicatula Hill. 1936. from probably the early Frasnian (early Late Devonian) of the Lennard Shelf, Western Australia. is assigned to the cosmopolitan rugose coral genus Scruttonia. Its occurrence there supports the previously reported cosmopolitan nature of Late Devonian rugose coral faunas and the faunal similarities between eastern and Western Australia in the Devonia.
