THE BIOLOGICAL SURVEY OF THE EASTERN GOLDFIELDS OF WESTERN AUSTRALIA: DiscussionWA Museum Records and Supplements | Updated 9 years agoIntroduction: The Lake Johnston-Hyden Study Area, the most south-westerly of the 12 Study Areas surveyed in the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia (Figure 1), occupies a region where winter-rainfall (May-August) predominates. The boundary of the South-west and Eremaean Botanical Provinces dissects the Study Area in the north-east, and rainfall varies from c. 340 mm in the south-west to about 270 mm in the north-east.
