The role and function of Western Australia’s ports and port services vary greatly at any given port. Port services including tug boats, pilot and customs vessels, dredges, floating cranes, navigation aids, security, immigration, pest control, environmental protection, fire brigade, and other essential services. This image shows the Harbour Master’s boat under sail rounding a barrel buoy (original Fairway Buoy). Vessel is rigged as a standing lug yawl.
