State Shipping Service gave Frank Norton free passage on the Koojarra in 1953 in return for donating a collection of his artworks depicting the ports visited by Koojarra. This collection of Norton’s impressions of ports and port facilities in the 1950s provides a valuable record of this period. This piece is a watercolour of MV Koojarra at Broome jetty, showing low tide with people walking around the ship.
