Dwyer and Mackay

Large Bush Picnic Party Group, people standing around Picnic tables. Extract from Kalgoorlie Miner 2 May 1910 reads "Kurrawang Woodline Picnic - Yesterday about 200 Ladies and Gentlemen from Kalgoorlie, Boulder, Coolgardie, and the mines were entertained at a picnic on the Kurrawang Woodline. A special train left Kalgoorlie at 10.45 am and brought the party to the head of the line, some 60 miles from Kurrawang, where there are high and extensive rocks from the tops of which interesting views of the surrounding country were to be obtained. An exellent luncheon was provided, and subsequently afternoon tea. Mr Hedges M.P, as host was assisted by his daughter, Miss Hedges, and his son, and Mr and Mrs Leslie; and it was generally agreed by the guests that their efforts were most successful in providing a thoroughly enjoyable day's outing. The train arrived back at Kalgoorlie at 6.45 pm."
